Description
This is an FRT-3 clone made in Japan, likely sometime in late 1982 or early 1983 by a Japanese company which sold parts in the USA as “Double Eagle.” Whatever factory this was, they essentially made some of the earliest Floyd Rose clones ever made. Unlike the FRT-4 Double Eagle models, the FRT-3 clones were made of great quality with a bent steel base plate and hand milled saddles. But, the base plate and saddles are made of brass and not steel (likely a cost-saving measure).
